It’s getting awfully close to DÄMONER!!!, and I’ll be painting every single day leading up to the show. I’m good. I’m relaxed. I might not manage to finish every single piece I had intended to show, but even before I started this painting marathon I had a complete show waiting in my closet, and a very good one at that.
Yes, I’m good.
Working with DÄMONER!!! parallel to other things going on in my life has already rewarded me with so much. It’s as if I’ve in some ways come to terms with my DÄMONER!!!, turning them into mere heroes, living (or dead) next to this hero.

“I Never Meant to Hurt You” 2010

Today is the grand opening for Edsvik Konsthall’s Höstsalong. I’m participating with “Idea”, “Baroque Oregonian Swede”, and “Caricature” –two self portraits (?).
I’m putting on a nice shirt, and I’m heading out there to actually talk to people and to appear like a swell guy. A trustworthy painter with both feet on the ground. Tight. A good investment.
It’ll be fun.
I hope they serve champagne, cus champagne makes me happy.

I’m going to a “Skrämselkalas” (fright-party) this evening. Not a Halloween party, mind you, but a Skrämselkalas. The objective is to dress up as someone who scares you. The invitation carries an image of George W. Bush.
I fear no one. Purely as a joke I’m dressing up as the king of rock’n’roll – Vincent Van Gogh. In no way do I fear Vincent, but thinking of how his life turned out saddens me. He’s such a good example of how, given the right (wrong) circumstances, a punk rocker lover-boy will succumb in a hateful world. This I do at times fear.
